(LaGrange, KY) Oldham County Judge-Executive David Voegele has issued
a TOTAL BURN BAN for Oldham County, beginning at noon today.
This means there is to be no outside burning in Oldham County until the ban is lifted.
A total ban includes burning for agricultural and recreational purposes, but does not include fireworks.
Persons who intend to shoot off fireworks are urged to use extreme caution.
The ban was requested by Oldham County fire chiefs. Any group in Oldham County that intends
to conduct a large-scale fireworks display during the July 4 th
holiday is asked to provide advance notice to their district fire department.
